AC Floby switches to 100% renewable electrical energy

Working with sustainability is a priority part of AC Floby’s operations and strategy. The basis for our sustainability work is Agenda 2030 and the 17 global goals that the UN has developed for sustainable development, one of the goals where we see an opportunity to contribute is goal no. 7 “Sustainable energy for all”.
At AC Floby, we work continuously to reduce our energy consumption, and our long-term ambition is to become climate neutral, which means that we will need to switch to 100% renewable energy.

Now we are pleased to announce that we have taken a big step in this area. We are already heating up our factory with fossil-free district heating marked with “Good environmental choice” from Falbygdens Energi AB, and now in 2021 we have also switched to electricity from hydropower with EPD from Vattenfall AB.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is an independently verified and registered environmental declaration with quality-assured information, for example, resource consumption, emissions, waste and recycling.
This is an important step for us and for our ambition to become climate neutral operation and workplace.
